About Our Level 2 Team

What is a Level 2 electrician?

A Level 2 electrician is an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) — authorised to work on the network side of your property, between the electricity grid and your switchboard. Standard electricians cannot legally do this work.

Fix Electrical's accredited Level 2 team handles mains connections, disconnections, metering and upgrades for homes, businesses and builders across Western Sydney — overhead or underground, single or three-phase, all to network and AS/NZS 3000 standards.

  • Accredited Service Provider — authorised network work
  • Overhead & underground mains connections
  • Defect notices rectified & certified fast

Common Questions

Level 2 questions, answered

What's the difference between a Level 1 and Level 2 electrician?

A Level 2 Accredited Service Provider (ASP) is authorised to work on the network connection between the grid and your property — mains, metering and service lines. Level 1 ASPs work on the high-voltage distribution network itself. A regular electrician handles everything inside your property from the switchboard on.

Do I need a Level 2 electrician for my job?

If your job involves connecting, disconnecting or upgrading the supply between the network and your switchboard — new connections, meter work, three-phase upgrades, or repairing damaged service lines — then yes, it legally must be done by an accredited Level 2 electrician. If you're unsure, give us a call and we'll tell you straight away.

Can you do both overhead and underground connections?

Yes. We're accredited for both overhead (aerial) and underground (consumer mains) connections, including conversions from overhead to underground for a cleaner look and better protection.

I've received a defect notice — can you help?

Absolutely. Networks issue defect notices when a connection is unsafe or non-compliant and give you a deadline to fix it. Our Level 2 team can inspect, rectify and certify the work to clear the notice — often on the same visit.

Do you deal with the network provider for me?

Yes. As an ASP we coordinate directly with the network (Endeavour Energy / Ausgrid) and your electricity retailer on your behalf — handling the paperwork, approvals and scheduling so you don't have to.
